Pre-Christmas Trip and relaxing holidays

So kannst Du leicht Fehltritte vermeiden.
Man wirft so viel Plastik weg.

Pre-Christmas Trip and relaxing holidays

The best way to escape the Christmas-stress is to book a Pre-Christmas-Trip over the weekend. I will give you some good tips to keep the situation stressfree during packing. I hated packing a few years ago. I was wondering in front of my wardrobe, the shoe cabinet, in a bathroom for a long time, which things I should take with me, so that I would not miss anything on my trip. It was annoying and stressfull. I have done many mistakes during time regarding packing. In time I have learned how to pack my suitcase or travel bag effectively. Maybe my reduced wardrobe or my affection for minimalism has helped.
1. Make a list of things that you want to do or try out on your journey.
I like to plan things ahead of time and think about what I want to do on my trip. Do I intend to stroll through the city, do I want to eat comfortably in a nice restaurant? Will there be a wellness or gym area in the hotel, where I can recharge my batteries? Planning makes packing easier.
2. Check the weather
In my opinion the most important thing to do before packing ist to check the weather forecast, especially  when you are doing a short trip. This way you avoid taking unnecessary things with you, which would stay in your suitcase anyway. And that would be annoying!
3. Select and combine garments correctly
I rely on safety and already well-known combinations in neutral colors during traveling. I would  recommend you to do the same. You can easily avoid a misstep that way. You will feel well suited, won‘t fiddle around with your clothes or moan about a itchy sweater or complain about getting blisters from the pretty shoes you have gained a few days ago. Stay true to your combination and your personal style.
I have chosen a brown, knitted dress which I can combine with my pair of black leggings or my black pair of tights - depending on the occasion. I want to wear this outfit with a small bag by Mango and boots by Gant.
I will put on a pair of dark blue jeans, a black T-Shirt and a purple sweater on the journey. And I choose a bag by Kate Gray.
Besides that I packed a knitted, grey turtleneck and an extra pair of socks. I must not forget to pack some underwear and sleepwear.
4. Choose accessories
It can be a real challenge to find the suitable jewelry for your outfit. I rely on my well-known combinations - that means my necklaces, my bracelet and my watch. Maybe you think, that I have little imagination regarding my styling. It might be. It has more to do with minimalism and my sustainable lifestyle. I try to own few things and wear them as much as possible. A few years ago I had a full wardrobe and cheep jewelry at home and it took me over two years to get rid of these things. I still have things that do not fit my style anymore. When I imagine how many things I sorted out, the mood for shopping fades away quickly.
5. Cosmetics
Sometimes cosmetics needed most of the space in my suitcase. In the past most of the cosmetic products I brought with me on a journey were the usual size. Then I went on vacation with my friend and at first I made fun at her tiny mini products. Fun stopped when my luggage was scaled at the airport and I had to pay extra money for it. I only pack the mini products since then. The facial care and hair styling products make an exception. I admit that the mini products are not sustainable for the environment. You throw away so much plastic. That is why I intend to invest in travel jars in the future and only refill them when I go on a trip.
6. Hand luggage and "first aid" box
I like big travelling bags, in which I not only keep the important documents like passport or ID, a wallet, tickets and a booking confirmation, but also a phone, a charging cable, headphones,  a camera, a newspaper or a book, a  drinking bottle, a snack (apple or banana, sandwich) and a cosmetic bag. In my cosmetic bag I usually keep the "first aid products" such as band-ads, various pills (against diarrhea, headache et cetera ) and a pair of scissors. It depends on the transport I take during the trip.
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful time with your family or friends. And if you have to work on these days, then I wish you as little stress as possible and that everything runs smoothly.

My dearest Santa, I wish for...

MAKE-UP

My dearest Santa, I wish for...

Actually, there should be another post instead of this one. I have changed my opinion after today‘s long jog in the white-sugared nature. I came home frozen and longed for a warm shower. At the same time I thought about accessories, which I still need for running this winter (to prepare myself for the half marathon without suffering any setbacks). And so this post was created. It is not only about running accessories or running clothes, but also about cosmetics and clothes in general.

1, Running clothes and Accessories

Running gloves and Sleeves

I hate it when my hands and feet get cold. My hands were very cold during today‘s workout, although I was wearing knitted gloves. When I got home and wanted to unlock my apartment, I could not even turn over the key. My hands were so freezing. It took a few minutes until my hands warmed up and I could unlock the door. That is why running gloves are at the top of my wishlist. Just like sleeves. I wasn‘t used to wearing sleeves until my friend told me that she wears sleeves over her running pants all winter long. They keep her warm and they make an eye catcher out of a boring pair of black running pants - thanks to the nice colors. I also have gained a pair for myself now, which I am very happy with. One pair is not enough, though 😃

Functional Shirt
I love the functional shirt. It keeps me warm and it is versatile. You can not only wear it in winter, but also in spring or autumn, when the weather is bad. Just be careful what kind of material the long-sleeve-shirt is made of. Merino wool works great for a first layer shirt, it does not itch and it keeps you warm - even when you‘re sweating.

Running shoes or trail shoes
Having snow under the shoe soles is music to the ears - until you run through a deep puddle or slip on an icy surface. Then you are thinking about buying winter running  or trail shoes. It is a perfect opportunity for me to use the Christmas percentages at the WMS Running Store.

2. Clothes and Accessories

Pyjamas
I love nice comfortable sleepwear. The cold weather behind the window tempts you to spend all day in cozy pajamas or in a sexy satin nightdress on a sofa together with your darling.  And if you include the Christmas holidays, you can hardly resist a nice negligee.😃

Bag
"I really need a new bag," the same words are repeated in my head every day. I do not moan in front of my closet every morning because I have nothing to wear, but I complain about really not having a nice bag that sets a statement - like Bryans bags by Donna Karan.

Boots
Finding a pair of pretty winter boots can be a challenge sometimes. When I saw the pretty, black boots by Pepe Jeans on the Humanic Website, I literally fell in love with them. Let‘s see, if Santa really does exist.😉

3. COSMETICS
1. Facial cream for winter
The colder it is, the more my skin suffers during jogging. It is pale, sensitive and feels dry. An anhydrous, cold protecting ointment - for example the one by Ingeborg Stadelmann - would be nice to find under a Christmas tree.

Make-up
My Beyond Perfecting foundation is almost empty, so I am looking for another well covering make-up. My dear Santa, if you here me, you can surprise me with a Christmas coupon, please.😁

Cosmetic treatment in a saloon
I quarreled a bit with myself if I should mention this treatment because Santa already knows, that I will get a coupon for a facial treatment and for a hair studio appointment. I am looking forward to it and I am curious about the cosmetic products. The beautician works only with organic products, so thumbs up for that.

And that's all for today.

Local, Saisonal, plastik free - for what reason?!

Regional, Sasional, Plastikfrei - Aus welchem Grund?!
